Over the last several years, the building materials sector experienced turmoil: Demand was high, and the price of raw materials went north. At the same time, customers were demanding more full-service and end-to-end project support rather than merely purchasing raw materials.
At International Ventures we experienced challenges to our long-standing business practices, and we had to evaluate all aspects of our customer’s buying journey.
Now, an increasing number of customers expect us to help them with a deeper level of project design, connect them with reliable installers, and provide customized solutions. Developers/builders admit they can be overwhelmed by ever-more-complex building regulation and by the constant onslaught of new products.
More recently, the raw material price spike has backed down and the strangle hold on the supply chain has lessened. What hasn’t changed is the customers’ demand for better schedules and one primary factor in that process is engineering and design. IV offers complete engineering design in 2 weeks compared to others who take 4-6 weeks for this phase. Along with the engineering schedule, the standard fabrication schedule: starting delivery 6-8 weeks after approved drawings received.
And that makes a developer/builder’s life a bit more manageable.
