Pat Kern Tribute 1953-2021
We would like to acknowledge the significant contribution that Pat has made to the business and to industry overall. The way that he selflessly assumed leadership roles, never putting aside his humanity, and always putting his best foot forward not only in the interests of business, but also in the interests of a transformed pre-engineered metal building industry.
His commitment, with a deep passion, to achieving quality building design to satisfy his customers was a driving purpose of his life. His contribution to improving engineering and sustainable building is unquestionably evident.
He was a savant of project details and a genuine person with a warmth, humor and attentiveness that would be extended to any person whom he interacted with. His business philosophy was straight-forward—good old-fashioned face-to-face meetings.
Pat was a graduate of Madison High School, General Motors Institute, and he graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Masters Degree. Patrick spent a long career in pre-engineered metal buildings, working at numerous companies. He held multiple senior management positions and was a former member of the Board of Directors for The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) and was active in multiple local/regional business associations throughout the U.S. He started his own company, International Ventures in 2017. He was an avid golfer and a loyal Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

POLAND, OH — International Ventures, LLC, (IV) a global provider of metal-building construction consulting
to general contractors, developers and building owners, announced Allison Kern will serve as the Vice President
of Marketing and Administration.
Kern has over 15 years of metal building and manufacturing sales experience with regional, national and
international customers.
In her new role, Kern is responsible for managing the administration and execution of corporate marketing
and advertising programs and strategies, account processing administration, and overall coordination and
administration of inside sales.
“My goal is provide our customers with top-rated design and value enhancements for their engineered system building project.” Kern said. “Plus establish trusting relationships, productive communications and long-term partnerships with our clients.”
Kern holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration for the University of South Carolina and an International MBA from the University of Memphis.
